Who needs Elliot When You Can Re-Sign Shillinde.

AFC Wimbledon have once again started their annual dismantling of a decent team by agreeing to let popular striker Tom Elliot walk off to Millwall but insist that this is an amazing thing because past glories will keep us going for years.

In a statement by the club they said that whilst they offered Tom Elliot a decent 'wedge' to stay, he didn't want to be paid in cheese and biscuits and so is moving to South East London; but it's ok because it's a year since the club was promoted to League One and we'll have all the fans focusing on their day out at Wembley rather than the fact that in a years time they'll be preparing for life in League Two after selling all their best players.

First team boss, Neal Ardley commented "it's ok, i'm already seeing loads of pictures being retweeted online from a year ago, the master plan is to win a couple of games pre-season and then head back to League Two where we might be able to afford a few more players".
Got a QPR shirt, Boss?

Whilst fans are reliving their celebrations of every promotion or victory, ever club is busy arranging the transfers of Lyle Taylor, Jake Reeves, Sean Kelly & Jon Meades so that some 'wheeling and dealing' can be done, but it's ok because at least we have a club, no decent players but we have a club and thats the most important thing said Chief Fan Erik Samuelson.

When asked about some of the transfer targets said to be on Ardley's shopping list the man himself said it included former players such as Sammy Hatton, Glyn Shimell, Luke Moore and Bobby Shillinde; so keep posting your pictures from a year ago and it'll all be fine!
